Help us ,we're freez......

Hi Y'all,

Yesterday ,after prying my husband off the couch with a spatula ,he became my reluctant tour guide. We drove about 50 miles from here, to Stonehenge.

It was pretty cool. And also freezin' ass cold and windy. gah!

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire, about 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) west of Amesbury and 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of Salisbury. One of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. Archaeologists had believed that the iconic stone monument was erected around 2500 BC, as described in the chronology below. However one recent theory has suggested that the first stones were not erected until 2400-2200 BC,[1] whilst another suggests that bluestones may have been erected at the site as early as 3000 BC (see phase 1 below). The surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC.

New archaeological evidence found by the Stonehenge Riverside Project indicates that Stonehenge served as a burial ground from its earliest beginnings.[4] The dating of cremated remains found that burials took place as early as 3000 B.C, when the first ditches were being built around the monument. Burials continued at Stonehenge for at least another 500 years when the giant stones which mark the landmark were put up. According to Professor Mike Parker Pearson, head of Stonehenge Riverside Project:[5]

Stonehenge was a place of burial from its beginning to its zenith in the mid third millennium B.C. The cremation burial dating to Stonehenge's sarsen stones phase is likely just one of many from this later period of the monument's use and demonstrates that it was still very much a domain of the dead.

We had a nice Christmas...glad it is over. I took down 3 of my trees today...the little ones. Still have
the 4 big ones to do. Organized the kitchen cupboards so I can find things and cleaned out the spare bedroom closet. Went to Conehead's and looked at paint samples to paint her bathroom and kitchen. It has rained like a monsoon here today. Don't have to work at the flowershop until Friday and back to school on Monday after that. Hair but on Tuesday, painting on Tuesday afternoon at Coneheads. I will try to scan my pictures of Bailey and send to you.
Miss you and hope you are well. It looks like you and Scott were as cold as stonehenge.

Just got back from Nashville where we spent Christmas with No. 2 son and family. Had a great time. He is a gourmet cook and made standing rib roast for Christmas dinner and invited the family next door who are from Slovakia. Just got caught up on your blogs and dont know whether to laugh or cry. Nosey says maybe right before Christmas not the best time to go across the pond and set up camp. Hope you are feeling better after freezing your boil off in that cold weather. Hugs and pets to Cavuto. A belated Merry Christmas! Ask hub to dun H.R. for his paycheck, then you can get your hair done. Will make you feel better. Spring will come to England in mid-May. Hang in. Howdy. Stonehenge looks cold but amazing. Glad you got to get out of the house for a bit and have an adventure.
Our Christmas was good. I took down the big tree Friday and I'm hoping to finish putting away Christmas today. I hope you have a good week. It's almost a new year.

Hope you are over the Christmas letdown. As someone said above... right at Christmas maybe not the easiest time to adjust to a move like that. And with the kitty in prison like he is... well... that's just sucky to the max!

Love the pics. I think I have a picture of myself (somewhwere) standing in the exact the same spot at Stonehenge. Ah... the memories! :) Except I was there in October and I wasn't freezing. I did have a jacket on though. A white one with some sort of abstract design on the back. It was the 80's and I was such a fashionista then. HA!

Hi all,

Thanks for sharing your Christmas takes with me.:)

Hubby is very sentimental about Christmas. So in some ways ,I think he's even more miserable than I am.

I would have been fine with the crappy Christmas if Cavuto was here.Every time I'm freezing my ass off ,right in this house ,all I can do is think of cavuto in that cracker box with NO heat at all. It breaks my heart .

We spoke to all the kids and they sent some pictures. They seem to have fared just fine without us . lol

I've been sick for the last few days . Thank God I brought nyquil with me:)

Today is "back to work " for hubby and man, does this house need to be cleaned!

Ok, i'll quit posting in my box and do a real post later.

have a great Monday!

Luv me
