What a lovely toilet you have there......

I found 'em! I found 'em!!!!

I found the beautiful toilets ya'll! It's called Talavera ,just like the tiles and some of them also come with a matching sink.

My favorites are this red one and this black one.

Which could be mine for the measly sum of $855.00

This one is pretty too. but a little wild.

(click on the pictures to see full size)

I never thought I would say "what a beautiful toilet" :)

The websites over in England have got their Christmas catalogs up! I was looking through them seeing what kind of nifty stuff I might want for Christmas when I came across a couple of very disturbing gifts.

Pink spider catcher :

Remove a spider using a vacuum without causing injury to the spider.

Um, excuse me? Is there going to be THAT many wayward spiders in our house?

This white fluffy hottie is a great alternative to the traditional hot water bottle. Just heat in the microwave for a few minutes to release the vanilla pure essential oil fragrance. This coupled with the snuggly warmth will help you to drift gently off to sleep.

Um, excuse me, does this mean it's going to be so cold in the house that we will be sitting around with hot water bottles? Seriously, did you even know they still made those?

How about this?

Reversible tree:

You can either have it standing the traditional way or the modern way with the tip down. Includes stand. Excludes lights and decorations.

I did have a black tree last year but I've never had an upside down tree. Hmmm.
I don't think I like it upside down.

Well, do YOU dare to be in British style this Christmas?

More Mamie.....the talking cat....

Have a wonderful day ya'll!

Beware of old ladies with scissors........

Hi ya'll,

Yesterday morning I was supposed to get up at 5:30 and get ready to leave for Memphis at 7. I set a clock and everything. (they are usually NEVER set because our electricity goes out about every other day , for no damn reason) Natuarlly , the clock did NOT go off at 5:30 Nor did Cavuto wake me at the crack of dawn he does EVERY single day. EXCEPT the day I need to get up. right.

Floozie1 shows up and we manage to get out of here ,only half an hour behind schedule. It is a long boring drive of nothing but fields of dead things. We finally decided they must have been cotton.

We got to Memphis early enough to hit a few thrift stores. The area we were in , which was near my appointment at "homeland security" was not the best area and the thrift stores reflected this. ack!
Then we ate lunch at what was claiming to be some "world famous Memphis Bar-b-q"

Well, I told Floozie "When I hear that claim ,I expect to be dazzled."

I was NOT one bit dazzled. Disappointed is more like it.

We got to the Homeland Security place . I had brought my camera so I could take pictures. (naturally)
We had to go through a security check ,just like the airport.

First ,the guy tells me "no cameras ,no cell phones , go put them in your car"

Great, I go put them in the truck. Then they call Floozie1 back to be checked because her big old pair of hair scissors in her purse set off the metal detector.

"No weapons allowed in the building, go put them in your car."

Now that we have been de-terroristed, they finally let us in. A lady immediately tells me "I've been waiting for over 2 hours."

"are you here for fingerprints?"

"yes "

Lucky for us, all the employees soon returned from their 2 hour lunch. So we were out of there in about an hour.

As the guy was doing my fingerprints, I asked him "what do you do with these?"

"We send them to the FBI."

A. Who knew?
B. The FBI probably already HAS my stupid prints. I've had that done several times for work. ack!

We had come prepared to spend the night
"just in case" and if we did , we wanted to go down to Beal street and walk around ,take pictures etc.

Well, it was freezing cold and windy. So we decided against that plan.

We figured if we left town by 4 , we'd make it home before dark. (Both of us have night blindness)

So, we hit a few more thrift stores.

Then we saw Churches chicken. I haven't seen that in about 20 years . Neither had she. So she got some chicken to bring home.

At the last thrift store ,I found the highlight of the trip!

I got these fatbaby boots for TWO DOLLARS!

SCORE! woo hoo!!!Retail price $109.00

I was hurting like an old woman by the time we got home and she could barely keep her eyes open. But at least we got to smell chicken the entire way home.

Now for some comments to ya'll s comments :

Do you have a job? Or a hobby?

Thanks for asking Stranger, I actually have several hobbies. I do count my nap as one of them. I no longer have a job because we are moving to England. I will not have a job in England as I am not allowed to. Guess I better up the hobbies 'eh.

Rattle - Rattle - WAKE UP!

Just what kind of brownies does DDD have in mind?

LOL Brad, I'm pretty sure she meant the kind a Brownie troop leader with 4 young kids would make. That's what we get for her deciding to become a mother (again),in her old age. :)

Hey, you....lover of kittehs! Check out this little video, you'll love it.

All I can say is...Bless her Heart! But I sure don't know how she does it.

Hey Val, I've seen that before. Pretty cool. But I have to wonder "how in the heck can she afford it?"

I could totally see myself doing something that crazy if I had no husband to rein me in. LOL

Where was that?

Several people asked about that toilet. it was at the Mexican restaurant where we ate. When I got home ,I searched the internet for such a toilet and I came up empty.

I'm not crazy about the sunflowers, but I am crazy about an artsy toilet. If anyone knows where to look for such a thing. Please...hook us up!

Have a great day Peeps!

A little of this.....a little of that....

Hi Ya'll,

Woo hoo! Floozie 1 and I are going on a field trip today.

We're going to a little Mayberry-ish town nearby for some shopping..

And some Mexican lunch.

Hopefully I shall return with something more exciting than pictures of my cats:)

My friend Eva came by yesterday and filled me in on all the latest scandals I am missing at work.

Apparently sexual harassment is running rampant. I guess broke Realtors are reverting to pubescent morons.

And it's the ones we would have least expected! Go figure.

I think I really DO want to dress up and go somewhere on Halloween. I can be Madonna and Eva can be Cindi Lauper. We NEED to do something fun around here.It has been sooooo boring since I got home from my trip.

It's always like that ,isn't it?

I have been a slug since I got home. I must snap out of it.

Note to self : make your damn list!

I am anxiously awaiting the movie "The secret life of bees "
I read the book a few years ago and it was SOOOO good ,I wanted to make every female I know read it.

Go see the movie ya'll . I only hope it's half as good as the book was.

Cavuto let me sleep in until 6 this morning. Woot.

For some reason I woke up thinking about how different life turns out than the way we thought it would.

Did I ever in my wildest dreams think I would be 45 , calling myself "mama" to my cats?
Wishing I would have grandkids already?
That my my kids would be all grown up and NORMAL?
That I'd be living on a lake in Arkansas?
Married to some guy from Ohio?
Getting ready to go to England?

Nope , I never would have thought any of those things would be in my future.

It made me happy to be woken up at the crack of dawn by my crazy cat.
A little reminder that God does a better job at planning than we do and sometimes he even throws in some nice surprises.

Have a great day peeps! Enjoy your life today.

Luv me

I got nothing, no seriously......

Ahhh, nothing like getting up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning. NOT!
Thanks Cavuto.

I've been wondering if i am going to dress up for Halloween. Any of you going to? If so, what are you going to be?

I think I'm gonna be Madonna ,in the 80's.

Like this. Or not.

Not that I have anywhere to go ,or any plans for Halloween.

Damn,I'm exciting.

I still haven't recovered from the sleep deprivation of my trip. Speaking of which, this is all I bought on my trip.

Vintage Panda figurine.

Stuffed grape leaves. These things are awesome.
You can make a quiche out of them and that is awesome too.

Kathy Van Zealand purse for 5 bucks.

Brand new BASS shoes , also 5 bucks.

My suitcase was full to begin with so I had little room for shopping. Damn airlines and their new luggage fees.

It's a rough life around here.

I have nothing to post about ya'll .

Guess since I'm up so damn early I may as well go yard saleing.

I'll shut up now. ok. :)

Have a great weekend!

Luv me
