Tuesday tidbits....

Happy Tuesday Ya'll,

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes!

Here's the prezzies I got.

Cute overload calendar.....

and Red Door from my eldest son.

Awesome zebra dishes from Floozie2 .

And hubby got me a bunch of stuff from bath and body works.

Thanks you guys!!!!

I spent the day out on the boat. Floozie2 and Lake farmer were out there in their boat too.

The water was cold! I don't know if it's because of all the rain we had or what.

It was a lovely day.

Lots of yachts out too.

It cost about a thousand bucks to fill that thing up with gas.

And here we have our first glimpses of England.

When I spoke to my spouse about 8p.m. it was so cold he was wearing his leather jacket.

Look ,they really do have those cute red phone booths:)

This is a pretty rich area. We will not be living in this neighborhood.

I have no idea what this stuff is......he did not send any explanations with the pictures. (big surprise huh?) LOL

Now for some good news!

He actually found a house yesterday.
Naturally, he forgot to bring the camera. gah!
So, I have no idea what it looks like.

All I know it ....it's new, it has 2 bedrooms, it has two stories ,a little "garden" (which is sort of a patio) it's unfurnished and it takes cats!

It's also in a suburb called Whiteley. An English mayberry:) The town has about 3,000 people.

My spouse had THIS to say about what it's like to drive over there.

"……….I had no idea that the “turnabouts” would be such a problem……….it isn’t the driving on the wrong side that’s a problem , I think I was up on the curb more than I was off of it. The turnabouts really confuse the hell out of you and you don’t know who has the right of way……ughhhh!!!! "

If HE"S confused.....I don't think I'm going to want to do much driving:)

It's raining again ...so it's the perfect day to stay home and do laundry and clean my pig sty.

Have a great day peeps!

Luv me

I am so glad he found a place to live! Sounds nice! Not knowing how long you'll be over there, you could just buy the basic. At least at first. Did he rent a car? There's one of those red phone booths in El Dorada, AR. Everything we've been there, I have to look. I, too, LOVE IT! auntie j

If the turnabouts are the same kind I've seen other places in Europe are the same just stay home! Even the locals get confused. Ain't no place for a little old lady (me) to drive.

It must be a relief to know that hubby found a house for you. It will be much easier than being on the top floor of one of those apt bldgs in the pics. This is your chance to find some really, really neat stuff - just the basics but still really neat.

I hate that the two of you are separated for so long. It's no fun to be the one left at home. . decisions, stress, being lonely. Grrrr!

Take care, Kid, and thanks for sharing the pics.

Happy Belated Birthday! sorry I missed it!

Can I move to England with you? Pretty Please ! I've always wanted to go.

I'd also love to buy that boat, if only I could get it to Seattle!

I found the round-abouts confusing, fast paced but exciting once I decided you just jump in and go. The first couple I went around a couple of times before I figured out which road I needed. Everyone drives fast and aggressive, so you can't stop and think about it. I found the street signs unusual and confusing too. And a lot of times the round about had 5 roads coming off of it, which between that and the weird signs, confused the hell out of me. But overall, I had a blast driving over there. You'll be just fine.

Congrats on the place that takes cats. Sounds nice. If you like thrift shop shopping, you will LOVE England. Those roundabouts are really tough. There is a theory as to who has the right of way but in practice no one does and it is like a roller derby on 4 tires. You dont want to bash a fender but you need to get off the merry-go-round. Exciting. Not. I think you will really enjoy England - just immerse yourself. Wish I were going. And an additional benefit while there - your cats can learn the native language - English! G5
