and the casons go rolling along....

May I scream?

After discussing it with "some guy" my husband NOW does not want to drive our American car in England. Too dangerous.

The pressure is on ME now to get the car sold.......otherwise I will have to drive it to Memphis to carmax. I would rather be tarred and feathered. I can barely get it in and out of the garage. Drive it to Memphis? PLEASE DEAR GOD, NOOOOOO!!!!

************************************************************************

I sent my husband an ad for these 2 red suede couches for sale. $400.00 US dollars for both.

If not a foreign country to rock some red couches ,then where? Right?

His reply:
"For heavens sake dear DO NOT send me ads with RED sofas........I think I
would rather throw up on it than sit on it......."

Well, excuse me. I think I could have really made those work. The man knows nothing about decor.

*************************************************************************
Floozie 1 received a sympathy card from her husbands cancer doctor saying:

" Dear Floozie1 , We are so sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Floozie. We never saw an obituary so we had no idea that he had died. "

Floozie1 said "she was so freaked out she had to go look in the dining room to make sure her husband had not really died. "

He is still there, in her dining room , in a hospital bed...alive.(for now)
Now that his medical records have had him dead for 3 weeks.....hopefully this won't screw up his health insurance coverage.

One more reason to love those competent doctors :)

*****************************************************************************
Anyone have any big plans for the 3 day weekend?

Today ,I have a lunch date with Floozie1, then my last doctor's appointment ...before I have no insurance. Then dinner at 6 ,at Noesy and G5's place. We're all having dinner to meet some new neighbors that just moved in. We hope they are fun (like us) lol

I have not seen the boat since my husband left. So I imagine that shall be my plan for the rest of the weekend. They'll be having fireworks Sat. or Sunday night out on the lake. I have never driven the boat at night though. I doubt if I could even find my way home. So..we'll see about that.

****************************************************************************

"this episode after episode of Law and order is just riveting, NOT."

Gay cat love :)

Have a great Friday peeps!
Luv me

That's one cool car and I bet it's fun to drive. I really like the sports car look - I may be old but I ain't dead. I'm driving my first old fogey car, a Maxima. Does this surprise you?

Red couches, cool. It looks comfy and appears to be in good condition. Bless their little pointed heads, most men just don't get it when it comes to decorating. Harry develops a nervous tick everytime I move a piece of furniture. He just didn't get the memo.

How can mistakes like reporting a death happen. What a cruel thing to have happen.

Our three day weekend will be much as usual. Harry will grill and I'll throw together some veggies and salad. The kids will be here and we'll all have fun just being together. Everyone has been so busy that it will be a luxury to just sit, visit, and eat. On Wednesday Harry and I will begin our "Big Adventure." I wrote about it in my blog last evening.

Kitty has a nice smile. Those cats are the picture of healthy and content - not to mention beautiful, as well.

I've written a book in your block. Old folks can get carried away sometimes. Have a good day.

I like the couch as well.
Perhaps the old man wants a couch that matches his argyle socks!!

Why's it dangerous to drive an american car?

I offered to babysit your car while you guys are gone. Drive it down here and I'll store it in my garage :)

**** hey Mary,

I'm driving my first old fogey car, a Maxima. Does this surprise you?

****Maxima's are actually pretty cool cars:)

Red couches, cool. It looks comfy and appears to be in good condition. Bless their little pointed heads, most men just don't get it when it comes to decorating. Harry develops a nervous tick everytime I move a piece of furniture. He just didn't get the memo.

****** Tell me about it. I am ready to give up and just say "fine YOU deal with it."

How can mistakes like reporting a death happen. What a cruel thing to have happen.

*****Don't know ,but she WAS livid!

Our three day weekend will be much as usual. Harry will grill and I'll throw together some veggies and salad. The kids will be here and we'll all have fun just being together. Everyone has been so busy that it will be a luxury to just sit, visit, and eat.

*****sound like great fun to me.

On Wednesday Harry and I will begin our "Big Adventure." I wrote about it in my blog last evening.

*******I haven't made it over there yet. I'm headin' that way soon:)

Kitty has a nice smile. Those cats are the picture of healthy and content - not to mention beautiful, as well.

******thank you:)

I've written a book in your block. Old folks can get carried away sometimes. Have a good day.

********apparently. Well, I'll probably wind up with some gold velvet couch.

Why's it dangerous to drive an american car?

*****while passing ,you would only be able to see if you had another person in the car.

I offered to babysit your car while you guys are gone. Drive it down here and I'll store it in my garage :)

******* yeah, you and everybody else. LOL

Do I dare tell you I have a RED couch? And aside from attracting cat hair, I love it. Men have no taste, just big opinions. You must get over there before you end up with ugly, boring furniture.

Smocha said...

LOL , Myoh! do send me a pic of your stylin' red couch!
My husbands taste in furniture will surely be exactly like his taste in clothes. Good ....but all in bland subdued colors.
ack!

SOUL said...

yes.. my husband pointed out the fact that i am geographically backwards-- ugh.
that my dear, is why i have a GPS (now). duh.
so anyways..

no-- the dim light on a pole is simply a dim light on a pole that keeps other boats from running over you-- not meant to be for vision. i need headlights too.
the "electronics i speak of-- would be on your dash-- where you "speedometer, fuel gauge etc are --
meaning your, depth finder, fish finder etc...
read the manual :))
your lake is awful shallow in places to not be knowin how to read your depth gauge.
oooh scary.

hmmm.. what was i sayin..?

oh .. if i'm here-- perhaps i could drive you home-- or you could fly home?

stez mentioned that carmax will rip you off and offer you below auction price.
maybe you should let one of your sons- or my spouse sell it???

but however you do it-- good luck with that.

i'm full and tired and goin to bed now.
tomorrow i hope to get around to all my peoples.

goo nite-
luv me

I would LOVE to drive your little car to Memphis. I love driving stick shifts, but you would have to follow me in the mundane truck as it is too far to walk back home. Just whistle. Only takes 3 hrs and 20 mins to get to Memphis. Have you put the car on AutoTrader on the web? That site gets millions of hits. I agree that American cars are dangerous in England - the bloody steerin wheel is on the wrong side. Lets all get on Fish Farmers boat and go see the fireworks - which are on Sunday evening - Farmer sees well in the dark. Anybody comes to look at little car, if they want to drive it you take their keys and give them your keys. If they dont bring it back you have their car to keep. G5

I have no comment on the sofa. It is too red for me to comment on. G5

Your husband is right - it wouldn't be much fun to drive a left-hand drive car over here....but he's wrong about the sofas - they look lovely!

Hope your move goes well and you like the UK, it's not such a bad place really....don't stress about no air-con, you won't need it if this summer is anything to go by. And don't worry about the turn-abouts (roundabouts) either, they're good fun!!
