College Road Trip

Directed by Roger Kumble (THE SWEETEST THING, JUST FRIENDS)
, the 2008 comedy COLLEGE ROAD TRIP stars Martin Lawrence as
Chicago cop James Porter, an overprotective father who wants to
keep
his college-bound daughter, Melanie (Raven-Symone), close to home.

* This movie totally sucked!
O,C,M,F, you would all hate it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stop-Loss

Synopsis: Director Kimberly Peirce (BOYS DON'T CRY)
tackles another
controversial topic with STOP-LOSS, the story of a U.S. soldier
forced back into battle. Brandon King (Ryan Phillippe) has just returned
to
Texas after a harrowing final tour in Iraq. He's accompanied by the
remaining men from his unit, all of whom are more than a little shell-shocked.
Welcomed home as a hero, Brandon is awarded a Purple Heart by a visiting
state senator. But the homecoming quickly turns sour, as each of the soldiers
struggles to assimilate back into society.

***** I want to buy this movie!
O: *****
C:*****
F:only tweens and up
M:***** Men should love it too.

Meet Bill

Synopsis: Meet Bill (Aaron Eckhart)—a doormat if there ever was one.
A man reduced to a mere accessory to his family by working a dead end
job at his father-in-law's bank, Bill's wife Jess (Elizabeth Banks) is loathe
to explain her "friendship" with the local news anchorman (Timothy Olyphant).
But Bill's fate begins to change when he becomes mentor to a self-assured boy
(Logan Lerman) who engineers Bill's recovery with the help of a cute lingerie sales girl named Lucy (Jessica Alba). Together, the trio confronts Bill's hapless life with humor and energy while forcing him to capture his dream of being financially independent and self-confident.

* This movie is a ridiculous "male fantasy" gone retarded. Is the girl 16 or 25? Is the kid 13? Or 20? OH..*shudder* I'm still reeling from the stupidity.

O,*
C,*
F, NO
M, Very "juvenile" males may like it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actor-comedian Martin Lawrence (BAD BOYS, BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE) aims
for the heartstrings and funny bones in WELCOME HOME ROSCOE JENKINS,
a raucous helping of family soul food.

Juno

Consensus: One of the brightest, funniest comedies of the year, Juno's smart script and
direction are matched by assured performances in a coming of age story with a 21st century twist.

** I though it was Ok, I hated the music and I hated that her boyfriend
was such a nerdy dog.

O,*
C,**
F,* Not really a kid movie.

Jane is idealistic, romantic and completely selfless – a perennial bridesmaid whose own happy

P.S. I Love You

Two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank tries her hand at romantic comedy in this touching film based on the bestselling Irish novel. Holly Kennedy (Swank) and her charming Irish husband Gerry (Gerard Butler) are a young couple struggling to get by in New York City. Their marriage is 10 years strong, and they are madly in love, but the fates soon step in, when Gerry develops cancer and dies.
