What the heck is a yurt?

Hi Y'all,

Yesterday morning Cavuto woke me up at 5:30. I did all my chores . Then by 10 I needed a nap. Woke up at 12 and got ready for the day. Left for Little rock and went to Burlington coat factory. Of all places ...I actually found two decent pairs of shorts. SCORE!They were neither crotch rockets OR Pippy pants. I think they must have been "last years" stock. Thank God!

Then i went to Barnes and Noble (oh ..how I miss living in a real town ...with good shopping) I bought 2 books , planning to start one of them while I waited for Poodles at the airport. Then i realize I had brought NO reading glasses. damnit!
So much for that idea.

We had planned to meet my aunt Loo Loo on the way home for dinner at this country restaurant.
Poodles arrives (on time) and off we go to the restaurant. We get there and the sign says "closed on Mon . and Tuesday" WTH?

I call Loo Loo and tell her. Then, "cracker barrel " is the only other restaurant I can remember on that road. So I say "meet us there"
Little did I know , it was ten miles back AWAY from the way home. ack!
We had a nice dinner anyway. And had a great ,although nearly toothless waiter.
Ate too many delicious biscuits . man, they were yummy:)

It was 8:00 by the time we got home. Then we got into our pj's and watched "the great santini"
One of my favorite movies ever. If you've never seen it, i suggest you do!

Today will be a lazy day. but tomorrow is our big adventure. we're going camping in a yurt.

This thing. Hope it's fun and not sweltering and scary:)

I must go make some coffee and wake up my lazy friend so we can get this day started.

I'm on vacation. Woo hoo!!

Have a great day peeps!
Luv me

That looks like something the boys would love. When you've had the "Yurt Experience" tell all. Hope it's fun, fun, fun!

A blog I visit often is written by a woman who lives in a yurt in the mountains of New Mexico. This woman has got it all together....I sure couldn't do half of what she does! You can read her by going on my blog roll and clicking on LIFE AT STAR'S REST. Her name is Carmon. Their yurt survives some wicked winter weather I might add.
Have fun on your camping trip!!

I think camping in a yurt looks like the best of both worlds. They normally have a floor in them, and canvas walls like a tent.

Have fun camping and post some pics of your advenures.

Any cat wakes me up at 5:30 am, by 7:00 am I am digging a hole in the yard 2 feet deep to put the dead cat in. G5

Mornin' Y'all,

Thanks for the comments.

As of this moment , we know NOTHING about yurts. I'll tell you all about it when we find out. :)

All i am sure of , is it's gonna be hot in there.

We'll blog in pen while we're out there. And I'm sure there will be tons of pictures.

Look for it tomorrow afternoon sometime.
