First.....secure the toilet

Hi ya'll,

Well today is my last totally free day. Ten more days until I leave for England. Today I'll be taking the boat out for the last time. They come Monday to winterize it. Eva is coming tomorrow to help me clean it and put the covers on . No easy task, let me tell you. One I've been dreading ever since I did it last year.

I have a 5 page list of stuff that must be done before I leave and today,I finally feel like I've gotten some of the "big jobs" crossed off.

Like the back porch, the truck (trash mobile) ,and the refrigerator. Yippee!

I've made 2 trips to Petco to measure and stare at smaller cat crates. No dice. They are just too small. We're stuck with his giant one.

Funny how he can cram himself into a little paper bag but he can't act small in a dumb carrier.

Too bad I'm no longer a fearless cat smuggler.

(ckick on the blue letters if you haven't read about that)

Is that a 12 pound mouse in your pocket?

********************************************************************

I just noticed that the toilet in my guest bathroom looked crooked. "Hmmm...that's odd"

So I tried to turn the seat a little ,thinking maybe the seat was loose and crooked. Well, the whole toilet spun . Great, the toilet is falling right off the floor. Why do these things NEVER happen when my husband is home?

One more thing to add to MY list. (Insert stream of cuss words here )

**********************************************************************

I'll be back later with pictures of the party atmosphere out on the lake. This weekend is the last big blowout. It should be packed.

Have a wonderful Saturday peeps!

Welcome to the poor house.....and a P.S.

Yesterday morning ,I anxiously wait for 9:00 to arrive so I can finally call and get Cavuto's plane ticket.

Ring ,ring, hold,hold hold,hold:

"Hello, ripoff airways ,how may I help you?"

"Hello, I'd like to get my cats plane ticket to London."

"What is the size of his crate?"

"umm.Enormous." (I give her the dimensions)

"That's a pretty big crate for a cat. Most cats can fly in the small crate as long as there are 2 inches above the tips of their ears while standing."

"Well,he's a pretty big cat. He's 16 inches tall the cat crates are only 10,12 and 14 inches tall."

"I'm sure you know best ma'am......if he won't fit in a smaller crate then his flight will be $1,235.00"

*choke*sputter*become nauseated*

"Why is it so much?"

"Because of the size of the carrier ma'am.If he can fit in a smaller one ...it will only be about a thousand."

"Oh is that ALL?,

well, as delightful as that sounds I just don't think he'll fit in a smaller one, due to the two inch ear clearance rule."

"Sorry 'bout your luck sucker! Will that be all?"

"Um yeah , have a lovely day, thank you."

Welcome us to the poor house won't you?

and say "hello " to the most expensive cat in the world.

My husband took the news better than I was expecting.
There's always that I guess :)

Have a wonderful day peeps!

Ignore that nice typo in the title :)

you would have to be a devil to keep these cats apart

Yeah,Hi....

(Click the pictures to see them full sized)

Told ya' I could make my own for about 4 bucks.

These black candle holders seem to be all the rage right now over in England.

This one WAS a hideous green ,the others were french provincial white and gold. *ick*

These little cat baskets were also a hideous shade of green.

I got nu'thin ,unless any one wants to hear me whine about how nervous ,depressed and bored I am.
I think I'll spare you :)
Your welcome

So if you're bored too, here's a link to go window shop in England. Let me know what you think.

not even title worthy.......

I am bored, depressed, dry, itchy and my shorts are too tight in the waist. Woe is me. LOL

Annnnnnd if that cat doesn't shut up I am going to strangle him!

I tried to get his plane ticket the other day and they told me I can not get it until Sept. 2nd. That's nice. Just make people worry all those extra days. It's 19 days until I leave. Too soon to start getting everything ready to leave. I am in limbo. I hate being in limbo!!!

Cavuto is out in the living room just screaming and screaming. I took the camera out there to record him. Instant silence. As soon as I got back in here, scream ,scream, scream. I kind of feel like screaming myself.

So, what's up with bras these days? Is it just me, or does it seem as if they are made out of some itchy fiberglass insulation or something? I swear all of them make me itch like there's no tomorrow.

Guess I'm NOT the only one.
*********************************************************************************

Hours and hours later...........

Well,I'm still a bitch. I have insomnia ,and I've been nauseated for days now. I have no idea what's up with THAT. I'm the freak who gets the flu and gains 10 pounds. Get clinical depression and gain 60 pounds.Nothing makes me stop eating! And NO I'm not pregnant. lol

There has been absolutely NOTHING on tv tonight. I have spent the entire evening in the office ,fighting the nausea and messing around with my photo program. Yes, I know my life is just tooo exciting.

I prematurely got rid of my facebook and myspace last night, I think that has added to my sense of isolation today. This week has lasted forever!

It's soooo late ,I'm soooo wide awake. Gah! I wish there was some way to shield myself from my alarm cat so I could actually sleep in.

***CLICK THE BLUE LETTERS

Insane sleep deprived thoughts......*cackle* cackle*

This idea still appeals to me ,I've just been to lazy to try it.

I shall put you out of your misery and shut up now. Enjoy my digital art show.

I got nuthin. :(

Is that a bag of garbage in your pocket?

The other day I saw the show "Hoarders" for the first time. UGH! It was like watching a train wreck. One lady was loathe to throw away the rotten food which was taking over her entire house. It was disgusting. At the same time, you can't help wondering "how does this happen to someone?"

I have an Aunt who is a food hoarder. After seeing this show I decided that this must be a progressive condition. Right now ,my Aunt is in her early 60's but if she lives to be 80 or 90 ,I can totally see her house being taken over by her stockpiles of groceries.
In her case ,I know that she grew up dirt poor so she stockpiles the food in case she ever becomes poor again.

Do you know what this is?

It's a box of opened packs of sweetner.Decades ago, when I was really po' I used to save a little in the packs and then put them back in the box. Now, 30 years later,I still put the empties back in the box. Finally the day comes (like today) when I have to dump out the box to find any remaining full packets.

Crazy much?

Does this mean I am in the infancy of a serious hoarding condition? Do people that were born rich ever become hoarders? That doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like the common factor in all the hoarders is they suffered through "the lack of something" at some point in their lives.

Do you know any hoarders?Any rich hoarders? Do YOU hoard anything?

Come on , let's hear it. I'm really curious about this now.

**************************************************************************

Finally....a decent movie!

This movie is about a guy who gets engaged and then realizes he does not have a friend suitable for a best man. He goes on a series of "man dates" trying to make a new best friend. While it's not laugh out loud funny through the whole thing ,it is constantly entertaining. All the characters are likable and it does have some crude humor, but nothing I don't hear everyday in my "all male" family.

I loved this movie! Go get it :)

*******************************************************************

Dear Firefox,

I am sick to death of you crashing every three seconds. What in the hell is the problem here? Is it just me,or do you do this to everyone?

I am about to delete your crashing ass from my computer forever!

Seriously,my nerves can not take it anymore.

Goodbye ,Your ex fan

****************************************************************************

Speaking of my shot nerves,I am now leaving to call and get Cavutos plane ticket.

Wish me luck ;o

Have a great day peeps!

Have decor will travel.....

Ola ya'll,

Saturday Floozie 2 and I spent hours and hours out on the boat.I brought my camera and totally forgot to take any pictures.Doh!

We were supposed to meet up with our neighbor Dr. Charlie and his girlfriend Jennie. We searched for them about half the day and never found them. No surprise there. The lake was so crowded with boats it was like a holiday weekend .

I was going to go back out yesterday but I could not keep my eyes open. I was a lazy slug all day.

I spent some time on the internet looking to solve our decor problem (in the England house)

What's the decor problem? We don't have any decor. That's the problem. Not only are the walls completely bare (except for cat shelves) they are also painted a hideous shade of white with the nail holes painted a non-matching shade of white. *cringe*

Everything over there is ridiculously expensive and /or ugly. (No offense Britain)

This for example. I could buy this at the thrift store and spray paint it black myself for about 4 dollars.

No, I will not pay 40 bucks for it in England.

How about this? I do think it's cute for a Christmas decoration.

But for 35 dollars? Umm, I think not!

How about this? (Bradley! You must get one of these!)

Isn't it adorable? I've never seen the likes of it in the US.

But ....I digress. The only way I am going to have a decor in England is if I bring it with me.

I have started collecting some lightweight stuff that will be going in my suitcase.

After going through every speck of art in Hobby Lobby........this is what I have so far.

I'll have to get frames over there.

Cats.

More cats.

Kitchen towel hooky thing.

Ha ha . I just had to get this. Not sure where it will go yet.

Yes, I know ,I still have a long way to go and only 3 weeks to do it. Save me! I'm a nervous wreck!

Show me the Nickelback baby.....

Hi ya'll,

Last night I was sitting here around 10:30 watching a lame movie when my phone rings. I see that it's from Illinois (one of my chillun's) I answer the phone and I can barely hear my son because of the background noise. Which happens to be ......my favorite band Nickleback.
He was calling me from the Nickelback concert! OMG! I wanted to be THERE so bad. I literally almost started crying. Instead of crying I immediately called Desert Dirt Diva and told her that "Ian is watching Nickelback right this minute ...without US!!"

Normally I would have NO desire to go to some noisy ,crowded concert. But it was Nickelback!
I'm devastated :(

**********************************************************************

Speaking of the lame movie I was watching......
yesterday I rented two movies:

(Synopsis courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes.com )

Synopsis: Hell hath no fury like an office temp scorned in director Stephen Shill's domestic thriller OBSESSED. Executive-produced by entertainment megastar Beyonce Knowles, the film stars Knowles as Sharon, a one-time temp who has become a dutiful wife to investment brokerage hot-shot Derek (Idris Elba of THE WIRE), as well as the mother to their son. Further temp-tation arrives in the form of Lisa (Ali Larter of HEROES), who sets her blonde ambitions on Derek from day one. Sharon is wary but Derek remains a model of marital fidelity in the face of Lisa's repeated flirtations--inappropriate incidents that he avoids telling Sharon about. But when Derek rejects Lisa's sexual advances at the company Christmas party, her downward spiral of romantic obsession leads her to pursue Derek on a corporate retreat and attempt suicide in his hotel room. Promptly sent into spousal exile, Derek must win back Sharon's trust while the two attempt to put Lisa's psychotic episode behind them. Lisa is one temp who's not easily reassigned, though, and her increasingly brazen intrusions into Derek and Sharon's life auger an inevitable reckoning between the would-be seducer and wife. First-time film director Shill gets a wonderfully wicked performance from Larter, while Knowles shows off her claws in the film's climactic showdown. Taking its place alongside such films as FATAL ATTRACTION and DISCLOSURE, OBSESSED is a rollicking reminder that all's fair in love and stalking

This movie was ok. A little too much unnecessary romance thrown in there. It was something that could really happen now a days though. You just never know who's nuts out there. There is a huge ridiculous cat fight and a lesson about not keeping secrets from ones spouse. Worth watching if,like me, you're sick of stupid super hero movies:)

Synopsis: It's been a hell of a day on the highway.

When Federal Officers Elizabeth Anderson (Julia Ormond) and Sam Hallaway (Bill Pullman) arrive at Captain Billing's office, they have three sets of stories to figure out and a string of vicious murders to consider.

One zealot cop, a strung out junkie and an eight year old girl all sit in testimony to the roadside rampage, but as the Feds begin to expose the fragile little details each witness conceals so carefully with a well practiced lie, they soon discover that uncovering ‘the truth’ can come at a very big cost…

This movie was slow, violent and hideous. The end had me rolling my eyes in disgust that I had actually sat through the whole thing.Watch it if you dare.

*************************************************************************

After being left alone for 3 whole weeks my little British babies are on my husband now like a couple of growths. This is how he must go through life until I get to England.

The cat lady came every other day to check on them but I guess that's just not the same.

I can't believe I have not seen my cats since January. I hope they remember me (and Cavuto)

**************************************************************************

This is my plan for today so I better get of my laze and get my chores done.

Have a wonderful day peeps!

Luv me
