Smocha's lazy crock pot chili verde



Smocha's lazy crock pot chili verde



2 lbs boneless pork shoulder, cut into chunks

(I used 4 butterflied pork chops .....= 8 boneless chops) way less fattening.

2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano (Mexican if you can find it)
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon minced dried garlic
1 diced onion
1 diced bell pepper
11/2 cups water
2 teaspoons beef bouillon (or 2 small cubes)
small can of green salsa
2 small cans chopped green chilies
1 large can green enchilada sauce
1 can rotel
serve with :
fresh cilantro
shredded lettuce
shredded cheese
tortillas
elyucateco habanera sauce (if you want it HOT!)


Mix all seasonings together in small bowl
Mix Beef Bouillon with hot water and pour in crock pot first.
Mix seasonings with boullion
Add everything else
Cook on high about 6 hours ,until pork is fall apart tender (stir occasionally)
Mash pork (to shred) with a potato masher

you forgot to mention -- this can also be made with chicken :))

Sounds very delicious and I know it must be, but too complicated for me. If a recipe has over 6 ingredients it is too much work. G5

lazy ha ha.. i got your lazy beat...1, 6 pound pork shoulder roast,(or some kinda pork).. 1 jar chili verde sauce and 1 huge crock pot, put pork roast in, dump the jar a chili verde sauce in a touch of rince water from the jar, pop the lid on wipe the sweat off your fore head, turn on to high and let cook all day long....
the hard part was heating up the tortillas...

but i bet yours was yummy too.. as your a damg good cook!
