Youth springs stupidity?

Happy Tuesday Peeps,


Today all my babies go home.
One , back to Florida, Two and Three back to Chicagoland and Hubby ,back to Virginia.


Yesterday was the ONLY day that hubby and I were alone at all, this entire visit. lol
The boys went to see their biological father. I'll show you guys later how hot he's looking these days. I still have nightmares about going back to him. lol


I told the kids "be back here at 1:00 to go out on the boat."


2:00 , still no kids. Hubby and I go get on the boat . Before we leave the cove ,the kids call (all seeming to have reverted to age 12)


"we're almost there, where are you guys?"


"We're sitting here idling by the dock. get down here."


"Um, One has to go to the bathroom. And did you bring lunch? Come let is in the house."
(apparently my ex must have no food and no bathroom...that or my kids just have no sense)


"NO WAY! Tell him to go in the cabana and get down here."


"We're hungry.and we don't have our swim shorts."


"I have them! we're not sitting here waiting all day!"


ACK!! I pull some of my hair out.


They decide to go eat. "ok, call me back in an hour and we'll come get you at the dock."


Hubby and I spend a blissfully quiet hour or so out in the cove,floating around on our rafts.



The kids finally call back. Now they are stuffed full of the Chinese buffet and no body wants to go out on the boat.Hubby and I decide to call it a day for boating (as we have to come let them in , anyway.)


The kids all nag "why didn't you call us and tell us it was almost 1:00?"


Pull some more hair out.LOL


"Because I thought you were all adults and capable of being where you were supposed to be."



The rest of the evening was spent lazing around. I took a short nap. They watched a movie while hubby and I made dinner. Then all the guys played scrabble while I watched a lame movie called "Mulletville"


Naturally ,I was in bed by 10. God only knows what they all did after that. Probably stayed up too late :)

FYI, before we moved here (in the area where he just happened to live) my kids had not seen him since they were 8,6 and 4.


He never paid a dime in child support. Or contacted them in any way.


Yesterday , when they went out to see him my spouse said "I wonder why they even bother to go see him, i don't think I'd give him the time of day."


"Because the kids are nice human beings , thats why."


And for that, I am eternally grateful and proud.

Yesterday was a fun filled day of wake boarding:)


Everyone lazed around most of the morning. So I went and had lunch with Eva and Sissy.
By the time I got back everyone was ready to go out on the boat. The water was really too busy and rough for wake boarding ...but we're short on time here.




My video duties were taken away from me. I was told "When they wipe out ,"I " won't film the stupid seats."


Well, excuuuuse me for being scared for everyones safety.


So, you'll be thrilled(lol) to know ..there's plenty of wake board action coming as soon as we get it off Ones camera.


We stayed out on the lake until after 5 , came back and ate leftover-fest for dinner and then played balderdash.
I came in last place. I could barely keep my eyes open I was soooo tired. I think I went to bed at 9:30






No idea what they did afterwards OR how late they stayed up. But sure enough , Cavuto woke ME up at the crack of dawn.


I have not had my old lady nap allll week.

This morning the kids will be going to see their "biological" father for a couple hours. So for me , a fun-filled morning of cleaning, comin' right up.


Then ,I'm sure we'll be back on the lake. I'll be back later to tell ya alll about it:)


Oh yeah, they DID have the dumb fireworks on the lake last night. We heard them from the kitchen table. I was too tired to care.

A great day in Paradise

Happy Sunday peeps,

Yesterday hubby and I got the meats cooking and then we took our 8 kids out on the boat. Naturally , after a couple hours we get the severe thunderstorm warning. Load it all back up, deflate rafts, pick up anchor, board all 8 kids and head back to the house.


Since we had people coming for the potluck in 3 hours ...I would not let the kids in the house.
Yes , I'm mean ...but trust me, if I had , the house would have been trashed again.
I stayed on the back porch and suffered along with them. They played scrabble and cranium and I lounged around in my lawn chair with a blanket and pillow(yearning for a nap) :)


At 5:30 the friends started arriving for the potluck. We had Floozie2, Lakefarmer, Nosey,G5,Dr.Man,his girlfriend J, and Eva, plus the 10 of us. We let the "old Folks " have the first turn at the food line , as the youngsters are know to swarm through food like locusts.


The food was DIVINE I must say. We had smoked pork butt, baked ham, macaroni and cheese,potato casserole,spinach crepes, taco salad, Noseys famous olive bread, strawberry shortcake creation and brownies.


We really know how to put out a spread down here in the south:)


We had a great time sitting around gabbing with everyone. The kids retreated to the back porch after they ate ,to finish their game of cranium. Then it was time to load the 10 of us (plus Eva) back onto the boat to go see the fireworks.
We get out to the lake, get all anchored up,wait and wait and wait. There are several other boats out there waiting as well. Pretty soon we see boats turning around and leaving.
Lovely ...apparently ,they canceled the damn fireworks due to the thunderstorm that never even materialized.


We wound up just taking a little night cruise and coming back home.


The extra kids went to their hotel and the rest of us stayed up and played scrabble.
One is like some kind of scrabble whiz and I think he wins every single game. I don't know why any of us bother to play against him.


This morning all the extra kids came over to say their goodbyes and head back to Chicagoland.
They have a fun filled 12 hour drive .Ugh.

Now ,I need to get off my laze and clean (once again) lol
and get ready for the day.


This video is so long ,it's just like being there only you don't have to clean up after anyone :))

5 kids later....pass some food stamps please

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Our 5 extra kids arrived safely yesterday morning. They came in like a whirlwind. Ah to be young again. :)

They left to go eat breakfast and check into their hotel. Which BTW is pretty ghetto.EVERY hotel, cabin, condo and tent sight in this town was booked up for this weekend . They got the last room in town. I really can't believe this place is such a hot spot.

I went on my daily hundred dollar grocery run while they did all that and told them to be back here at 1:00. they got back here with more beer than I've seen in quite some time.
We all loaded up to go out on the boat.
Floozie2 and Lake Farmer were already out in Old Fogey cove. Then Nosey and G5 came out too. Between the 3 boats and 6 anchors , we were able to stay in one spot even though it was windy as hell.The kids lost 2 pairs of brand new sun glasses and drank a TON of beer before the thunderstorm rolled in and cut our lake time short.

We all came back to the house and they all (except One) got in the hot tub and drank another ton of beer while hubby, One and I made dinner and played scrabble.

About 8:30 they all decided to go back out on the boat. Not me buddy!I was just too tired. I can't keep up with the young any more. I was fast asleep by the time they got back here. So i have no idea what time that was. But I do seem to have gained 2 extra kids during the night. :)
My living room is covered with large sleeping kids.

Tonight we are having a potluck with about 25 people (counting our 8 kids) Then at dark they'll be having fireworks out on the lake. Perhaps I better get myself some NODOZE.
Once hubby and I get the meat cooking we'll all be heading out for the lake. I have to go start evicting kids from the living room so I can clean my (ever present) pigsty:)

scary dumb stuff.....and an update

Well, I've had nothing but trouble trying to download this crap!

I left the sound on ....so you could hear me nag ..trough out the videos. lol
then movie maker would not work . don't know if there's any sound at all now.

Hubby and Three are out on the boat NOW ....in the dark.....when it's my bedtime.
I'll try and fix this mess in the morning.

How do you like my clean house now? lol

It's hard for me to tell which kid is which. lol

Three is the most experienced at wake boarding. I think that IS him in the last video.

One is wearing a red life jacket and Two is the fool who did the back flip.
Two was the one on the tube also.

Hang on...I might as well add this to the actual post. lol


I really can not bear to watch them do this kind of stuff. especially when back flips etc.. are added to the mix. :0
I've been known to lay on the floor of the boat to avoid seeing it. lol

However, yesterday I was the only one with a camera. So i found out that it is much less scary watching thru the view finder.

My stinken batteries were dead. Then I discover that my spares are in my other bag ...at home!

So ,all the videos I did manage to get were done by me rearranging my dead batteries ...over and over again.

Our other 5 kids should be here in a couple hours. They left at 9 last night.
Naturally the house is in shambles. :)
I have to clean before they arrive. Isn't it funny how your grown kids come home and revert to adolescence?Leaving their mess everywhere for mom? he he.

Yes, Jamie ...I do LOVE when we're all together. There is nothing better!!
