The cat whisperer.....

"Let me tell you a really big secret"

Yesterday I went shopping in an area called Amargerbro. To get there, I walk to the Metro ,take a subway to Christianhavn, get off and board another subway and then walk the rest of the way.Too bad all I bought was a kitchen faucet sprayer adaptor. I hope the thing works.

I did take some pictures. When I first left the house I had to wear sunglasses.Soon ,it was back to gray.

(remember, click them to make 'em big)

Snowy tracks

A church with fancy doors

pretty Christmasy, no?

Billions of bikes ,all in a row.

Outside the shopping center (centret)

Accross from the centret.

How would a person even find their own bike?

Outside of the mall by my house. Right accross from there is the metro.

"I will tell NO humans my secret ,so don't even try.Cat's got my tongue."

Ha! You didn't think "I" had a secret ,did you?

Nope, the cats do.

Happy tuesday!

First.....secure the toilet

Hi ya'll,

Well today is my last totally free day. Ten more days until I leave for England. Today I'll be taking the boat out for the last time. They come Monday to winterize it. Eva is coming tomorrow to help me clean it and put the covers on . No easy task, let me tell you. One I've been dreading ever since I did it last year.

I have a 5 page list of stuff that must be done before I leave and today,I finally feel like I've gotten some of the "big jobs" crossed off.

Like the back porch, the truck (trash mobile) ,and the refrigerator. Yippee!

I've made 2 trips to Petco to measure and stare at smaller cat crates. No dice. They are just too small. We're stuck with his giant one.

Funny how he can cram himself into a little paper bag but he can't act small in a dumb carrier.

Too bad I'm no longer a fearless cat smuggler.

(ckick on the blue letters if you haven't read about that)

Is that a 12 pound mouse in your pocket?

********************************************************************

I just noticed that the toilet in my guest bathroom looked crooked. "Hmmm...that's odd"

So I tried to turn the seat a little ,thinking maybe the seat was loose and crooked. Well, the whole toilet spun . Great, the toilet is falling right off the floor. Why do these things NEVER happen when my husband is home?

One more thing to add to MY list. (Insert stream of cuss words here )

**********************************************************************

I'll be back later with pictures of the party atmosphere out on the lake. This weekend is the last big blowout. It should be packed.

Have a wonderful Saturday peeps!

Yeah,Hi....

(Click the pictures to see them full sized)

Told ya' I could make my own for about 4 bucks.

These black candle holders seem to be all the rage right now over in England.

This one WAS a hideous green ,the others were french provincial white and gold. *ick*

These little cat baskets were also a hideous shade of green.

I got nu'thin ,unless any one wants to hear me whine about how nervous ,depressed and bored I am.
I think I'll spare you :)
Your welcome

So if you're bored too, here's a link to go window shop in England. Let me know what you think.

Frazzle..frazzle.....

Ola y'all,

Well, I'm getting down to the wire here. I leave for Chicago in just a few days. Yikes! I have too much stuff to do. I'm a nervous wreck. My suitcase is the wrong size. I have small and humongous. I need medium. Yesterday I was going to cook the brats (which I am freezing and bringing with me) only I did not know that first ,you are supposed to boil them in beer. I did not have any beer and this lovely state dictates that I am not allowed to buy any on a Sunday. ack! So I'm a day behind schedule now. This is the first time Cavuto will ever be left all alone. We usually have all 3 cats. Aunt Floozie2 will come see him ,but he's just so needy right now. ( yes, I worry about that) My son just told me that it cost nearly $200.00 to rent a tux. I had no idea. that's outrageous! So, there's going to be over a thousand bucks worth of tuxes standing there. I hope this means everyone will be shaved and have haircuts. Can you imagine spending all that money and then looking like cavemen? (hint hint,to you kids)

Ok, let me try and stop my mind from whirling like frogs in a blender. ommmm.....ommmmm.Breathe in....breathe out.

I sure picked a lousy time to be a non smoker. ack!

My long lost babies......over in England.

Monkey and Booger under the ironing board.

O'Reilly (Booger) helping daddy work.

Supervising :)

Oh...I miss my cats!!! And my husband too ;)

*********************************************************************************

My huge helper.

*********************************************************************************

This weekend it was hotter than hizzell . I took the boat out Saturday and the lake was packed.
That's about 8 boats all tied together (in the pic)

Floozie2 and Lake Farmer tied up with me .

It was like a holiday out there. 18 boats were in old fogey cove.

What's missing? Oh yeah my husband.

Here's a pic of my imaginary husband.

He's pretty hot ;)

Some random crap I saw yesterday......

I saw a girl at TJ Maxx wearing one of those house arrest ankle bracelets. She was shopping with her son ,about 10 years old. I had to wonder "What crime did she commit ? "
Weird. And she was just prancing around like no one could see that thing on her leg.

Then later on at Walmart ,I saw a woman in line with a baby and a boy about 8 or 9. She was about my age. Or a hard living 30's. Obviously a hillbilly. She was wearing some skin tight short shorts and a barely there shirt. When she turned around , I see that on each of her saggy boobs (which are quite visible in that lovely outfit) is a tattoo of some handwriting. On the right one it says "Devilish " and on the left it says "Bitch"
I'm sure that her son must be so proud, the envy of the school yard. Way to carry on the trashy genes lady.

It really is a side show out there sometimes.

Time to get busy. Have a great day peeps!

Is that a donkey I hear?

Hi strangers!

Yes, I know I've been a terribly negligent blogger lately. I have been consumed with that thing I'm not supposed to talk about.

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Isn't your husband just wonderful to tidy all that computer stuff up for you so you and the cats can lounge away without any interference.

STOP TRANSFERRING YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THOSE DAMN CIGARETTES INTO SPEECH AND WRITING......IT DOES NOTHING BUT AGGRAVATE THE PROBLEM! arrrrrgggggghhhhh

Cavuto's world makes me homesick.

April 26, 2009 10:31 AM

That was my husbands comment. The first time he has EVER commented on my blog :)

I hope that every day will become easier and easier until I no longer even think of it.

*********************************************************************************

Yesterday I had a girls day out. My friend Eva and I went and saw a play "The glass menagerie" all the other plays I have seen in this town have been comedies. This one was a tragedy . I have to say I prefer the comedies.

After the play we went and had a cheap dinner at outback. Salads and baked potatoes. Which was quite delicious ,actually.

Then we took Cavuto for his walk and cackled like lunatics. That's Eva walking Cavuto. I sound exactly like my sister, Soul. lol

Yes, we (Soul and I) do have such soft ladylike laughs. Err..I mean cackles.
What can I say ? We are delicate southern flowers.Bwa ha ha

We had a good time.I hope my sister is having enough fun on her vacation to cackle:)

Hubby sent me these pictures of my little English babies. :(

These are the sights that I see on my walk.

Old hags having a grand old time walkin' the cat.

***************************************************************************

Some of my chillun's are in Key West right now. Man, would I love to be there!
They even offered to buy me a ticket to go. SOOOO TEMPTING.

But there was several kids going. With one cabin and one tent.

I had visions of my old lady self being stuck in "partay-ville" with no place to sleep, unable to yell at kids that weren't mine "be quiet you! I need my nap!"

So, reluctantly I had to decline. Wes will write us a detailed trip report when they get home . I can't wait to read all about it.

Have a great day peeps!

Luv me

A conglomeration of crap

First up, a stolen meme:

Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up:

1) My filthy disgusting keyboard

2) Cavuto, laying on an office chair

3)The dirty fan in my window

4)My coffee

5)Huge ugly file cabinet

What were you like when you were five?

Emotionally devastated. My parents had just split up and I lost my Daddy.I was scared to death of everything.

What are you wearing now?

Baggy lime green sweats and a black shirt with flamingos. I'm sexy like that.

What color is your bedroom?

Tan and Teal.Like the Caribbean sea.

What’s the last thing you read/are currently reading?

I just read "The Tomato Girl" by Jayne Pupek ..Great book! I give it 4 stars. It is a tear jerker though.

Now I am reading "Leather Maiden" by Joe R. Lansdale. So far, it's pretty good too.

Do you nap a lot?

By a lot, do you mean about 2 or 3 hours, every day? Then yes. Cavuto wakes me up at 4 a.m.

Who was the last person you hugged?

Probably my spouse and that was quite some time ago.

What’s your current obsession/addiction?
Wishing for spring.

What was the last thing you said aloud?

"come on ju baby, get your whip cream." (to cavuto)

What websites do you always visit when you go online?

My email and ya'lls blogs :)

What was the last thing you bought?

Yesterday ,the highlight of my day was buying groceries.Woo hoo!

What are you listening to right now?

The news talking about herpes.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

The ability to transport myself to somewhere else. That would be awesome!

What is your favorite weather, and why?

Warm and sunny baby! I am a tropical girl at heart and always have been .

What was the last reality tv show you watched?

Don't really watch any of them except "wife swap" I'd like to be on "Survivor" though.I think they should do a "mother /son " episode. :) My kids and me would WIN!

What is your most challenging goal right now?

To actually get enough business from Mobile mermaids to have some semblance of a life and to make the wedding money I need because I sent all that I had saved to my kids.

If you could have a house–totally paid for, fully furnished–anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?
Someplace tropical ,close to a "real " city.

Favorite vacation spot?

Imaginary ,right? Like I've been ON a bunch of vacations. Ha! I would love to go to the Florida keys and Puerto Rico.

What is your favorite children’s book?

"Pippy" and "Island of the blue dolphins."

Name one thing you just can’t resist no matter how bad it is for you:

cigarettes (duh)

If you could meet anyone famous - dead or alive - who would it be?

Famous people mean nothing to me. So, I'll go with Erma Bombeck, my hero!

If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?

The new Erma Bombeck :)

Steal the meme if you want.

Cavuto update:

I'm happy to say that Cavuto has physically recovered from his quarantine ordeal.

He's gained most of the weight back and is looking like his beautiful self again.

He's never been a "lone " cat though and does not know how to entertain himself.

He's used to his activity director, O'Reilly keeping the day exciting.

And tormenting Monkey is always good for a thrill.

The poor thing is bored and lonely without his cohorts. The whole situation makes me sad and mad.

*******************************************************************************

Oh, before I forget I have a question for a UK or expat reader. (PLEASE!)

My health insurance is in England .I am here right now. My husband needs to send me my prescriptions. I need to know :What should he put on the customs form?

********************************************************************************

They are raising the lake as we speak. It should be fully raised by March 15th. Hopefully, our boat cleaning business will then take off like wildfire:)

I actually got our first call yesterday. You know what the guy said?

"Hi, do you guys rent boats?"

Gah! Perhaps we need to make the website even MORE specific.

I have spent hours trying to make a brochure and am having NO success with finding a decent template. It's driving me wacko!
I welcome your suggestions:)

Other than that, I got nuthin' . It's like a ghost town around here.My friends are out of pocket.
Floozie1's car is wrecked so she's barely driving it.
Floozie2 has company.
Nosey is out of town.
And Eva is too broke to come into town.

It's just me and Cavuto and damn if we aren't boring!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Luv me

Do you have a backhoe I can borrow?

Hi ya'll,

Sunday morning I went up in the attic and got my boxes of summer clothes down. and by that , I mean I climb up the scary "ladder stairs" and have to roll the boxes down ,where they crash in a heap at the bottom.

Little did I know what a huge can of worms I was opening.Once I had those clothes.....I now had to drag the entire contents of my closet out ,pack away the really winter-y clothes and sift through all the clothes that are now too big for me.

Which was pretty much everything in my closet.

OMG! What a mess I made.

Two days later ,I am still not done with my little project.

I now have three huge boxes of clothes to get rid of.Gah!

Now I have to have a yard sale:)

If you're in the market for some size 10 bottoms and size large tops, let me know. I'll have an online yard sale.

3 bucks for bottoms, 2 bucks for tops. Most of it is new or like new. And no walmart clothes either!

Seriously, let me know what ya need and I'll tell you if I have it.

*********************************************************************************
Obviously ,since I've been trapped in closet hell for 2 days I have nothing exciting to report.
I haven't even seen another human being.

Cavuto is doing great and looking like his old self again.

Only now, he's quite the lazy slug without his sidekicks.

He'll probably be obese by August.
:)

O'Reilly, doing his bunny in England.

I feel so bad that they have to be separated. He misses Cavuto desperately.

Monkey, caught mid-bitch on one of the new cat shelves.

She does not like England. It's too cold!

Hopefully today will be fun or exciting around here. Figure the odds.

Hope you guys have a great day in your worlds!

Luv me
